Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese system for self-healing.
Combining breath with movement and mindfulness, we come home to the body and calm the mind by bringing us to present moment awareness. During the practice, we stimulate all our organs, lubricate all joints, improve balance, and ease physical discomfort. Movements are done with pleasure ~ slow, gentle and yummy.

For about the first 20 minutes of class, we release any old energy not serving us, then we move into a grounding, prayerful space. Next, we do breathing exercises for more centering and then gradually move into qigong movements with breath and mindful awareness.
In each class, you learn some simple tools that you can use to bring you back to a parasympathetic mode, meaning your nervous system is in a state of rest and recover instead of being in the parasympathetic system, which is when we experience any level of fight, flight or freeze response to stress. Experience feeling energized with calmness.

Though I am not currently teaching in-person classes, what I am offering is Mindfulness in Motion classes on Zoom twice a week.
